Crest Lanes, located at 2014 W. 2nd Street, welcomes individual or group bowling from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday through Friday, with special hours on the weekend.
Jared Allen has worked at Crest Lanes for three years and said the excitement picks up while the leagues are in season.
“We have about 10 to 12 leagues that just started up for the fall. This is an exciting time of the year for us because there is a league bowling in here almost every night,” Allen said.
The current promotion at Crest Lanes drawing the most attention is called Cosmic Bowl.
Cosmic Bowl is an event that takes place on Friday and Saturday nights and includes backlights and popular music to create a diverse atmosphere.
Allen’s sister, Peighten Allen, has also worked at Crest Lanes for three years and said Cosmic Bowl has been the most popular time of the week this fall.
“Cosmic bowl is a great opportunity to create a more upbeat environment by mixing up the scenery,” Peighten said.
Though Crest Lanes is currently owned by Keri Clevenger, Jared and Peighten’s father Dewayne Allen is currently in the process of acquiring ownership of Crest Lanes.
DeWayne has previously owned two other bowling alleys in Grant county, Plaza Bowl and Marion Fun Center.
